Federal rules (USPS Form 1583) require a person to check your two IDs, one with a photo, and to watch you sign the form. That part happens at the counter. Everything before it you can do from home: pick your size and term, give us your details, and answer the questions on the form ahead of time, so the visit is a signature and a key. Two forms of ID to open your mailbox
Every adult on the box needs one photo ID and one proof of address (they cannot be the same document), plus a signed USPS Form 1583. We handle the form at the counter.

Not accepted: utility bills, membership / employee / corporate ID cards, birth certificate, Social Security card, or credit cards. Opening a mailbox for a business? Bring the place of registration (county and state). Each business name needs its own Form 1583.
